Saltwater

Fly fishing for Saltwater fish can make a rewarding change of scenery from Trout fishing. There are endless coastlines extending the globe to explore, often with breath-taking views.

In contrary to lakes and rivers, you don’t tend to need fishing licences, just check local regulations if you are fishing near a mouth of a river. Savings on permit costs will more than cover the price of saltwater flies, as a more expensive saltwater hook are used on these patterns to ensure extra strength.

A little more research is required to find where and when fish movements will be, ie the feeding window or migrations, as well as which fishing flies are best suited, but this adds a rewarding dynamic to the skilled fly fisherman.

Request a fly, size or option

We work closely with our fly tyers and can tie most patterns to order: a different hook size, barbless instead of barbed, a tungsten bead instead of a gold head; just ask.

Sending a request is free and you are not committing to buy. Depending on where we are in our tying cycle it can take a month or two for a pattern to arrive, and we may not be able to tie every request (fair usage applies); but if we can, we will.

Sign in first and we'll pre-fill your email and keep the request with your account.
